There are two main pockets of fluorite found in the Erongo Mountains. They were both discovered in the same year (2012), but have such vast differences between them that it’s hard to believe that they are even from the same locality.
This piece is purple, and it is quite unique in that it looks like lots of cute little dark purple fluorite cubes all squished together with some gold muscovite mica. But this piece has a secret - when you light it up, it actually has a yellow core, with a green outer layer and the purple on top and interspersed in the fluorite, making it tri-color!
Additionally, purple Erongo fluorites are not as available as green fluorite, making our purple pieces quite special.
For the metaphysical practitioners amongst us, fluorite and mica is a really great combination because whilst fluorite increases intuition, mica helps us to be aware of our flaws that might get in the way of tapping on our intuition. Mica is also great for self-reflection, which further enhances intuitive abilities.
