Floater Selenite (Alberta, Canada) - FS3-80
Now this is absolutely mindblowing - this is an Alberta Selenite, which is an extremely underwhelming name, but behind that dullness is magic!
Firstly, it is water-clear - quite a rarity in selenites.
Secondly, it is a specimen, not a carving and not a raw! Can you believe it? They are unique because they grow separate from matrixes.
Thirdly, under UV-light, it displays an internal "hourglass" floater which is not at all visible under normal light. And yes, that 'hourglass' is phosphorescent too if viewed in a darken space!
So what causes this? Basically, there are inclusions inside the selenite that happens to only reside in very specific zones. These inclusions are colours, but are also phosphorescent in nature, which is why they only show up under fluorescent light!
How cool is that??!
This is the last piece left. It’s water clear internally, but on the surface, it looks unclear because of the texture of the selenite sheets. The floater is the most beautiful of all the pieces I’ve brought in though.

For every $15 spent, we will plant 1 tree to offset the carbon cost of mining, shipping and packaging crystals. These are real and natural products, and so might have some flaws or imperfections. We have done our best to pick the best pieces available, but nature is often imperfectly perfect. Therefore, please only make the purchase if you are alright with this.
