Ferroselenite (Pesquera, Spain) - FS-PS2
This is a new find from an uncommon location, so not much is known about it. Furthermore, there isn't a lot in the way of red selenite - a quick google search will show a lot of orange selenite incorrectly marked as red selenite, as well as clear selenite pieces sitting on an iron matrix.
But these pieces are raw pieces of clear selenite with the red hematite iron included within them.
It's an uncommon location because the La Pesquera mine in Spain is mostly known as Mina de sal de Minglanilla, and is known as a salt mine. it also has aragonite coming out from the same salt mine, but that's been about it. Now, they are unearthing these beautifully clear pieces of selenite, and we've managed to get our hands on some of them!
I can't wait for when we get more information about them, when scientists/gemologists/geologists finally study them but, until then, let's enjoy them whilst we have them :D

For every $15 spent, we will plant 1 tree to offset the carbon cost of mining, shipping and packaging crystals.
These are real and natural products, and so might have some flaws or imperfections. We have done our best to pick the best pieces available, but nature is often imperfectly perfect. Therefore, please only make the purchase if you are alright with this.
