About Purple Rain Pocket Fluorites
Less than one month into the 2021 season, miners encountered a large clay-filled pocket in Pit 1, associated with the Fairy Hole Vein, containing excellent specimens of purple-blue Fluorite and Galena.Named the Purple Rain Pocket, it comprised of a complex series of connected Fluorite-filled cavities where the distinction between vein and flat was often ill-defined.Many of the Fluorites are associated with superb bright silver galena crystals. The Fluorite is characteristically translucent deep inky purple with permutations of blue and mauve. It forms as interpenetrant twins and fine single cubic crystals, sometimes with white frosted face centres, leaf-green cores and edged intense blackberry-purple.Some crystals are colour-zoned displaying bands of blackberry, cranberry, mauve-red, deep purple and green. Crystals may have smooth glassy surfaces or intricate mosaic growth patterns. (From UKMV)

The Lady Annabella Mine is CLOSED. This is big news that has been going around the crystal community, and we were fortunate to have bought a whole lot of fluorites just before it closed.
If you’re new to UK fluorites and don’t get the hype, let me explain. So, it has become a trend to collect the various pockets and veins from the Weardale mines. Kinda like collecting Pokemons!
This is especially because some pockets are very small, like the new Honey Bear pocket that was recently discovered, or the super rare Jakub’s pocket which was bought out in its entirety by one collector.
So, there are various mines in that area, like the Lady Annabella Mine, the Diana Maria Mine, the Rogerley Mine, etc. And, after three years since it was first opened, the Lady Annabella is completely depleted of its minerals. So, what we have is probably all we’ll have unless we manage to find more from someone’s old collection.
You’ll get a randomly chosen small piece.

For every $15 spent, we will plant 1 tree to offset the carbon cost of mining, shipping and packaging crystals.
