Niederschlag Fluorite (Niederschlag mine, Niederschlag, Bärenstein, Erzgebirgskreis, Saxony, Germany) (2404-NIED-DE5)

SGD 152.00
Only 1 available

8.3 x 5.8cm

Niederschlag fluorites are bright yellow with lots of colour-zoned bandings. In this case, we have very fine lines of blue and purple, as well as varying shades of yellow concentric bands shrinking towards each cube's core.

The Niederschlag mine is one with a lot of history. Between 1948 and 1954, uranium ore was produced until the ore was mined out. It was left untouched until 2010, when a new company took over. In April 2023, the mining company filed for insolvency, so let's see what that does to the available supply 🧐

For every $15 spent, we will plant 1 tree to offset the carbon cost of mining, shipping and packaging crystals. These are real and natural products, and so might have some flaws or imperfections. We have done our best to pick the best pieces available, but nature is often imperfectly perfect. Therefore, please only make the purchase if you are alright with this.
