43 x 34 x 17mm

There are a few famous Spanish fluorite sites such as Asturias and Moscona (Moscona is actually one of the mining sites in the Asturias region).

The Moscona mine is famous for its beautiful lustrous and glassy yellow fluorites that blanket the matrix with small yellow cubes, often found with white Calcite.

And the Fluorites are found in a layer of rock that is dated to the Permian–Triassic era, which is about 252 million years ago.

These specimens are a very gemmy and honey-gold colour, and comprise lots of interpenetrating cubes. As is the case with all Moscona mine fluorites, they are also UV-reactive, reacting with a delicate, pale lilac to white colour.
