Hollandite-Included Quartz (Ambositra, Madagascar)
Hollandite is a very aesthetically-unremarkable material. However, when they find themselves caught in quartz as the quartz is forming, it is subjected to such high levels of heat and pressure that they POP into little fluffy stars! 🤩
The last time, we had them in high-quality amethyst from Brazil, and they came with a hefty price tag. Now, we have these smaller quartz pieces - fewer hollandite stars, and a significantly lower price!
