Natural-Termination Black Shorl Tourmaline with Quartz and Albite (Pakistan)
202 carats
43x37x28mm
Here's something a little unusual - we have the usual stars, Tourmaline and Quartz, but they are growing with a delicate yet complicated matrix of albite.
Albite is a type of feldspar that is not often seen in this beautiful structure because it is brittle and glassy, and therefore, often damaged.
There are three main types of albite: peristerite, cleavelandite, maw sit sit, moon stone, labradorite and spectrolite. This particular specimen is the Cleavelandite type of albite, which is a plated albite variety composed of thin, tabular sheets stacked together. Definitely unusual and not often found in this form in our market.
Adorably, the albite in this specimen hugs the black tourmaline (with natural termination). On the back, you can find the very gemmy Quartz point.

For every $15 spent, we will plant 1 tree to offset the carbon cost of mining, shipping and packaging crystals. These are real and natural products, and so might have some flaws or imperfections. We have done our best to pick the best pieces available, but nature is often imperfectly perfect. Therefore, please only make the purchase if you are alright with this.
