Picasso Jasper Obelisk PJO-1
About this Specimen:
Dimensions: 109mm x 27mm
Weight: 186.93g
Do these not look absolutely interesting?? They are so different too! I have Picasso jasper Cabochons on my Shopee but these are in a different style (like how there are different types of ocean jasper) and I find myself even more drawn to them! These possess very stark bandings and pale yellow bands as well – uncommon in Picasso Jasper.
Now, its name is a bit of a misnomer. Even though it is called Picasso Jasper, it is actually a metamorphic limestone. The beautiful layers and colours are the result of heat and pressure from within the Earth, and the lines are formed by iron oxides.
A stone of transition, whether through life or through relationships, this stone is said to promote inner clarity and interpretation of one’s own thoughts. It’s also collected by those who hope to develop their imaginative ideas, just like those had by its namesake.
