This beautiful quartz crystal comes from this specific region are called this because “Ishiko” was overheard by the miners speaking in Bemba. They continuously repeated this word which means ‘Fire Place’ owing to the red phantom of hematite that grew inside the quartz. This was mis-heard as "Ishuko" by the foreign collectors and it started to be called that.
As it turns out Ishuko means "lucky" so it was destiny!!
