Cavansite with Pentagonite (Wagholi Quarries, Pune District, Maharashtra, India) - 0224-CP-I2

SGD 55.00
Only 1 available

We always love bringing these in because of the beautiful blue colours that they possess.

Cavansite and Pentagonite are, chemically, the same mineral. However, Pentagonite is a dimorph (aka secondary mineral) of Cavansite. To put it simply, for pentagonite to form, first cavansite must form, and the environmental factors must be precisely present for the cavansite to react and become pentagonite.

For that reason, pentagonite is even more rare than cavansite.

The mines in Pune are still actively being mined for these two minerals, but undamaged and aesthetic specimens are difficult to come by. This is why we always only have one or two of them at a time.

For every $15 spent, we will plant 1 tree to offset the carbon cost of mining, shipping and packaging crystals. These are real and natural products, and so might have some flaws or imperfections. We have done our best to pick the best pieces available, but nature is often imperfectly perfect. Therefore, please only make the purchase if you are alright with this.
