Brandberg Fluorite (Brandberg Massif, Erongo Region, Namibia) - BBF-2N
About this Specimen:
30g
33 x 24 x 35mm (approximately)
This piece has feldspar matrix on the back, a single milk quartz point (as is classic of Brandberg Mountain Quartz).
Comes with a free, clear, acrylic stand
—————
This is a super rare and limited find – we’ve actually kept two specimens for ourselves!
So, the Brandberg Mountain is famous for its quartz – amethyst, milky quartz, and smokey quartz. However, in early 2020, just before the lockdowns happened around the world, a small and unexpected pocket of fluorite was found – by the way, if anyone says they’ve bought all the supplies of Brandberg fluorite and are the only ones with stock, that’s false.
Anyway, it is a limited fluorite and we are absolutely in LOVE with the colour – succulent green with purple zoning. And, one of the two pieces available also has a milky quartz point which is classic of the Brandberg Mountain.
Note: Many confuse with with Erongo Fluorite from the Brandberg region – they are not the same thing. Erongo fluorite is a lot more abundant than Brandberg fluorite. They are found in the same area, but these Brandberg fluorites were mined from within the Brandberg mountain itself. Erongo fluorite, which is found near the Brandberg mountain, tends to range from a dark apple green to a very intensely dark purple. They are very unlike the pastel colours of the Brandberg Fluorite.
(tl;dr – Don’t pay Brandberg Fluorite prices for Erongo Fluorites!)

For every $15 spent, we will plant 1 tree to offset the carbon cost of mining, shipping and packaging crystals.
