"Landscape" Selenite Slabs on Matrix (China) - SSML2
About This Specimen:
Weight: 313.7g
93mm x 97mm x 43mm
This piece is quite translucent, but its bladed crystal structure is what makes it less clear than the other two pieces.
Personally, the parallel lines created makes me think of a waterfall, and the matrix in the back is like the cliff from which the water falls.
Grown on a matrix of hematite, this piece is extra special because it has a lot of gold-coloured iron sulfite inclusions in the matrix as well - a 3-in-1 piece!
This piece can stand, though it does lean forward a little.
———
Also known as Selenite windows, these beautiful pieces are part of large chunks of selenite, harvested with the hematite-rich matrix. Interestingly, the hematite presents in both the orange/brown form as well as the black form.
These pieces are especially beautiful because of their high clarity, which is what makes them such perfect windows.
Those pieces with the matrix growing on the back (instead of just under) are also reminiscent of Lodolite Garden Quartz because they create beautiful landscapes with which to immerse yourself. Especially useful when you've had a difficult or exhausting day, and can't escape to nature for a breather.

For every $15 spent, we will plant 1 tree to offset the carbon cost of mining, shipping and packaging crystals. These are real and natural products, and so might have some flaws or imperfections. We have done our best to pick the best pieces available, but nature is often imperfectly perfect. Therefore, please only make the purchase if you are alright with this.
